International Futures (IFs) with Pardee is a computer simulation of global systems for classroom or research use. IFs can be used to teach or study demographics, economics, food, energy, the environment, international politics and other substantive issue areas. It is especially suitable for analysis of sustainable development and for examining the human dimensions of global change. Below you will find links that help to further explore and explain the foundations of this software and research program.
See Barry Hughes and Evan Hillebrand, Exploring and Shaping International Futures (Boulder, CO: Paradigm Publishers, 2006) for a book on IFs suitability for classroom and policy analysis support. The book is available from Paradigm at their website.
